Packers Players Team Up with Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity for Home Build
Earlier this month, over a dozen Green Bay Packers players joined forces with Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity to participate in a home-build project on Green Bay’s east side. The players, including rookies and draft picks such as first-round pick Jordan Morgan, lent a hand in clearing the lot, removing branches and downed trees to prepare the property for the next steps of building a house.
Located in the 1000 block of Smith Street, this project marks a significant collaboration between the Packers and Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity. According to Jessica Diederich, CEO of Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity, this partnership showcases the community spirit of Green Bay and highlights the importance of giving back.
Diederich expressed her excitement about working with the Packers, stating, “It’s great to have them on board and share our efforts in building affordable homes in Brown County.” She believes that this exposure will not only benefit the local community but also provide the players with a deeper understanding of the area’s nonprofit work and its impact on families.
This joint effort demonstrates the Packers’ commitment to giving back to their community, and their partnership with Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity serves as a shining example of teamwork and community spirit. As the home build project progresses, it will undoubtedly make a lasting impact on the lives of those in need, and the Packers’ involvement will undoubtedly inspire others to follow in their footsteps.
