Travis Hunter has been added to Lil Wayne’s Young Money APAA Sports Agency, which is a significant addition. The 21-year-old, who excelled as a cornerback and wide receiver at the University of Colorado Boulder, is expected to be among the top three picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Young Money APAA Sports, headquartered in Dallas, is responsible for Hunter’s on-field representation and NFL contract negotiations. Lil Wayne, who established the agency in 2017, is the CEO. The agency has a growing roster of athletes, including new Duke quarterback Darian Mensah and Colorado defensive end Jehiem Oatis.
Hunter joined Young Money APAA Sports after several prominent sports agencies, such as Athletes First, CAA, and WME, expressed interest. During his Heisman acceptance speech, he acknowledged the rapper’s influence and showed his connection with Lil Wayne. Adie von Gontard shared photos with Hunter on Instagram, indicating the partnership.]
While Young Money APAA Sports will handle Hunter‘s on-field matters, he will continue representing off-field with SMAC Entertainment, which is co-owned by Michael Strahan. Several Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals for Hunter have been secured by SMAC during his college career, and a recent partnership with Adidas is just one example. Hunter’s partnership with Young Money APAA Sports and SMAC Entertainment is paving the way for a promising professional career, both on and off the field, as he prepares to enter the NFL.
