Moss’ colleagues on Sunday NFL Countdown quickly showed their support for him. Mike Greenberg, Alex Smith, Rex Ryan, Tedy Bruschi, and NFL insider Adam Schefter wore sunglasses to match Moss, while NFL insider Adam Schefter participation from the update desk.
“All for one and one for all,” said Greenberg.
Greenberg’s glasses and statement set the tone for a supportive broadcast. Schefter threw in some humor by comparing the glasses to those worn by Michigan Wolverines defenders after turnovers.
Moss stated that while the sunglasses may seem out of place on TV, they are essential for his condition.
“If y’all see me with these Michigan turnover glasses that I have on, it’s not being disrespectful because I’m on television, man. I’m battling something. I need all the prayer warriors,” He stated in his Instagram video.
Randy Moss’s NFL career, which included six Pro Bowl appearances and over 1,000 receiving yards, was known for his electrifying play and dominance on the field. Moss became a fixture on Sunday NFL Countdown after retiring in 2012 and transitioning to broadcasting with Fox Sports and ESPN in 2016.
Moss became one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history when he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility in 2018.
Moss’ message, despite not disclosing the specifics of his health battle, serves as a reminder of the importance of regular health screenings and addressing medical concerns early.
