Amanda Serrano Wants To Open The Door For Next Generation Of Females In All Sports

On Thursday evening, Most Valuable Promotions & Netflix hosted the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson’s second leg and Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano press conference at Today at Texas Live! in Arlington, Texas. In proportion to their upcoming fights on July 20th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, which is indeed the home of  America’s team the Dallas Cowboys. There were a lot of insults thrown back and forth by the headliners Mike Tyson & Jake Paul when fans and media members asked them questions during the press conference.

However, something that stood out was when the four fighters were asked the question, you each have the fighters and winning mindset. What do you keep in mind that keeps you on the right path? When you are in training and getting ready to win for each of you?

When Amanda Serrano answered the question she replied, “Winning, leaving a legacy and opening the doors for the younger generation for females in all sports.”

Serrano and Taylor fight on July 20th, 2024 will be a rematch of their first bout that took place in 2022 at Madison Square Garden, The fight would end with Taylor defeated Serrano on a split decision in a thrilling lightweight fight.

“I believe I won our first fight, but I didn’t get the decision, so this time I’m not leaving it to the judges,” Serrano said. “I am honored to share this iconic MVP card in the biggest stadium, on the biggest streaming platform in the world.

“And to all the young girls and women watching, I want you to know that anything is possible. Keep dreaming, keep working hard, and never let anyone tell you otherwise. It took me 15 years of blood, sweat and tears to get here, but it’s all worth it because I’m living my dreams.”

Taylor added, “This is the rematch the world has wanted to see and I’m delighted that it’s finally happening. The first fight in New York was obviously an epic occasion and it more than lived up to the billing, and I’m sure the rematch will be no different. I want to thank Matchroom and DAZN for their help in making the fight possible and I’m looking forward to defending my titles as undisputed world champion in Dallas on Saturday, July 20.”

According to the Dallas Morning News, the first day of ticket sales for the July 20 event, which opened Thursday, more than 35,000 tickets were sold garnering over $10 million.

“This event is unique in every regard. Six generations have a stake in the main event matchup and it is truly a cultural phenomenon,” said Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions.

“It’s incredible that this will be the biggest fight of Mike Tyson’s career by any metric other than belts. Biggest live audience, biggest gate and biggest global viewership. And he deserves every bit of it.”

Adding, “Him and Jake Paul is a 1-of-1 event, and you add to it the biggest fight in women’s combat sports to give female athletes a massive platform. Thank you to Netflix, AT&T Stadium and the state of Texas for being tremendous partners to MVP. See you in two months Dallas.”

Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano will be fighting  for the undisputed super lightweight world championship.
