Tim Tebow

Eagle Venture Fund, which is based in Fort Worth, has announced the official launch of Eagle Freedom Fund II, a $50 million investment vehicle designed to boost innovation in the global fight against human trafficking. Tim Tebow, who won the Heisman Trophy for his performance in the NFL, has been appointed as a general partner and will contribute his platform and passion to the cause. The fund aims to build on the success of Eagle Freedom Fund I, which raised $18 million and established the counter-trafficking industry.

Fund I portfolio companies have achieved measurable results since their launch, which include:

  • Training 6,000 doctors and nurses to identify trafficking victims

  • Protecting 50,000+ children from online exploitation

  • Assisting in the escape of 149 trafficking victims

  • Contributing to the arrest of 39 traffickers

“These businesses have proven that impact and profitability can coexist,” Eagle Venture Fund said in a release. “The companies are experiencing strong growth while saving lives.”

Scaling Up the Fight

Eagle Venture Fund has a goal to take the movement to the next level with Freedom Fund II.

“The first Eagle Freedom Fund seeded the counter-trafficking industry,” said Wes Lyons, general partner of Eagle Freedom Fund II. “The second Eagle Freedom Fund will grow the counter-trafficking industry.”

Tebow expressed the importance of the mission, citing his own responsibility as a new father.

“We need bold, strategic action in the fight against trafficking,” Tebow said. “That’s what gets me excited about Eagle Freedom Fund II—the chance to reach a scale of impact that can reach millions of children. I just had a daughter, and I’m hungry to build a safer future for our children.”

Values-Driven Investing

Wealth management partners like Keel Point have supported the fund’s expansion, which they view as both socially beneficial and financially feasible. “The first fund has been a successful addition to our values-based investment platform,” said Lyle Minton, CIO of Keel Point. “The portfolio companies are already producing tangible impact results for investors who want to align capital with their values. We expect Eagle Freedom Fund II to continue to deliver both impact and investment returns.”

Global Reach

Eagle Venture Fund is a Venture capital firm that aims to make a global impact through investing in venture capital with offices in Fort Worth, Zurich, and Singapore. The firm is proving that investing in early-stage technology with a purpose at its core can generate scalable social change and financial success through its growing portfolio. Eagle Freedom Fund II is becoming a transformative force, with Tebow onboard and a greater amount of capital, aiming to protect millions worldwide from one of humanity’s most crucial crises.
