Jackie Young Joins Skechers, Strengthening Brand’s Rise in Basketball Ahead of WNBA All-Star Weekend

Skechers continues its meteoric rise in the basketball market with the high-profile signing of Las Vegas Aces guard Jackie Young, just in time for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Weekend. Known for comfort-driven innovation and a growing roster of elite talent, Skechers has been quietly building a formidable presence on the hardwood — and its partnership with Young signals another powerful step forward.

“Joining the Skechers family feels like the perfect fit for me,” said Young. “Not only does Skechers truly support its athletes and share my passion for giving back and helping to advance women’s sports, but their basketball shoes are also incredibly comfortable. The SKX NEXUS gives me the confidence I need to perform at my best, and I can’t wait to step out in them at All-Star Weekend and continue to represent the brand on the court for the rest of the season.”

Young will lace up a custom Player’s Edition of the SKX NEXUS during the All-Star festivities — a shoe designed not only for speed, stability, and performance but also for storytelling. Her edition of the low-top sneaker features a unique split-design: one shoe pays homage to her legendary high school career at Princeton Community High School in Indiana, while the other highlights her collegiate journey and 2018 national title at Notre Dame.

Among the thoughtful details on the shoe are Young’s personal mantra “Just a kid from Princeton,” the number 3,268 representing her all-time scoring record in high school, and the numbers 3 and 5 — her jersey numbers from high school and college, respectively. The design weaves together chapters of Young’s basketball journey, culminating in this homecoming moment during the 2025 All-Star Weekend.

To further commemorate her roots and community, Skechers and Young unveiled a mural at the Toyota Indiana YMCA in Princeton, Indiana, on Thursday, July 17. Local students from Princeton Community High School and Middle School, where Young’s siblings coach, participated in a basketball clinic led by the All-Star and received their own pairs of SKX NEXUS sneakers.

As Skechers expands its influence in basketball, its commitment to personal storytelling, athlete empowerment, and performance-driven design remains at the forefront. With Jackie Young joining the roster, the brand isn’t just signing another star — it’s stepping deeper into the culture of the game.
