Milwaukee Bucks superstar and two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is showing a different side of himself off the court—one that embraces family, fatherhood, and philanthropy. In a touching new collaboration with Huggies, the global diaper brand, Giannis is starring in a campaign that not only promotes their newly designed “Little Movers” diapers but also brings attention to diaper need among American families.
The campaign, titled “We Got You, Baby,” features Giannis alongside his 16-month-old daughter, Eva, in a playful courtside-themed commercial. Known for his fierce competitiveness on the court, Giannis trades in his sneakers for sneakers of a different kind—baby sneakers—as he chases his toddler across a miniature basketball court. The ad is a charming portrayal of the everyday realities of parenting, particularly with an energetic toddler always on the move.
“I’m used to guarding the best players in the world,” Giannis says in the commercial. “But nothing moves like Eva. I needed backup. That’s where Huggies comes in.”
The spot highlights Huggies’ newly upgraded “Little Movers HuggiesFit 360°” slip-on diaper and a redesigned traditional diaper with double grip strips, both engineered for active little ones. Giannis’s real-life role as a father makes him a natural fit for the campaign.
“Being a dad has changed everything for me,” Giannis said in a statement. “I’ve learned patience, love, and how to move quickly when Eva’s on the run. Partnering with Huggies just made sense. It’s a product we actually use and trust every day.”
But the collaboration goes beyond clever marketing. In partnership with the Milwaukee Diaper Mission—a local nonprofit dedicated to fighting diaper insecurity—Huggies has pledged to donate $100,000 worth of diapers to families in need. Diaper need affects 1 in 2 U.S. families with infants, making it a pressing issue that rarely gets the spotlight.
Giannis and his partner, Mariah Riddlesprigger, have been vocal supporters of the Milwaukee Diaper Mission for years. The couple launched their own foundation, the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation, which regularly partners with organizations focused on supporting underserved communities.
“When we had our first child, we were shocked by how expensive diapers were,” said Mariah. “It opened our eyes to how many families might be struggling to afford something so essential. Through this partnership, we hope to help lift that burden.”
The Huggies campaign adds to Giannis’s growing list of brand collaborations that reflect his personal values. In 2023, he partnered with Degree Deodorant to launch a limited-edition “Greek Freak” antiperspirant, aimed at athletes and active individuals. He’s also released Greek-heritage-inspired JBL headphones and recently became a stakeholder in Canadian candy brand Candy Funhouse, helping the company expand its U.S. presence.
Despite his fame and global influence, Giannis remains grounded and focused on giving back.
“I never forget where I came from,” he said. “My family struggled growing up in Greece. Now that I’m in a position to help, I want to make sure I’m using my platform for something good—not just to sell products, but to make a difference.”
With this partnership, Giannis Antetokounmpo once again proves that his impact reaches far beyond the basketball court. Whether he’s helping his team secure a playoff berth or making sure children in Milwaukee have access to diapers, Giannis continues to lead with heart, humility, and purpose.
