Audity, the audio company under Asylum Entertainment Group, is innovating to redefine the audio content landscape. According to Variety, Kelsey Plum, Aliyah Boston, and Mikaela Shiffrin, Olympic skiing champion Mikaela Shiffrin, are the partners of the new exciting partnership announced by the company. They are working together to create a new audio experience called ‘Coach.’ Unlike traditional podcasts, ‘Coach’ will give listeners an exclusive and immersive experience. It offers access to a curated selection of coaching audio content that emphasizes performance, mindset, and personal storytelling.
The ‘Coach’ experience will explore elite athletes’ insights and motivations, providing viewers with a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the lives of these champions. The objective is to become a significant player in the audio business ecosystem, especially for the current generation of athletes. Chris Corcoran, General Manager and Chief Content Officer of Audity, stated he is enthusiastic about the project.
“Coach is being developed to become a game-changing differentiator within the audio business ecosystem, as well as for today’s generation of athletes. I’m extremely honored and excited to partner with Kelsey, Aliyah, and Mikaela, each of whom will resonate powerfully across all sides of the vision.”
The partnership will involve Plum, Boston, and Shiffrin taking on multiple roles in the project. In addition to creating and developing content, they will recruit other athletes, engage with sponsors, and assist in the platform’s growth. Importantly, they will also serve as coaches, directly offering listeners their personal experiences and advice.
Aliyah Boston is particularly excited about this opportunity.
“I think it’s an exciting opportunity, especially starting from the ground up,” Boston said when speaking to PlayersTV. “When you consider what it’s about, it’s about being there for the next person listening, for the one who wants to follow in your footsteps. It’s about sharing your experiences and really being present. It can be tough to say, ‘I want to be like Aliyah Boston,’ but not being able to hear from Aliyah Boston. But now, you have the chance to hear from me, to hear from Kelsey Plum. I’m really excited about this opportunity.”
Boston disclosed that the project has been developing for some time and is thrilled to share it with the public finally.
“It’s been in the works for a while, so I’m really glad we announced it. We’re excited to get this rolling because I think it’s going to be a cool project,” Boston said. She also praised the partnership with Audity, highlighting their shared vision for creating content that benefits the next generation. “What they’re about is all for the greater good, for the next generation. I think being a part of this is a way to exemplify that.”
Kelsey Plum, known for her tenacity on the basketball court with the Las Vegas Aces, emphasized the emotional and personal connection that Coach aims to foster. “Coach is about more than just giving advice,” Plum explained. “It’s about sharing the journey—the highs and lows—that made us who we are today. I’m excited to interact with people in such a personal way and help them unleash their inner champion.”
Mikaela Shiffrin, the World Cup skier who has won more medals than anyone, echoed these sentiments, pointing out the project’s uniqueness. “There’s nothing like this out there. This isn’t just about listening; it’s about feeling, learning, and personal growth. It’s about the connection people can make when they feel like they’re right there with us, every step of the way, as we push ourselves and you to be the best we can be,” Shiffrin said.
Coach is poised to offer something entirely new in the world of audio content, blending the personal stories of elite athletes with practical coaching and motivational guidance. As the project progresses, fans and aspiring athletes can anticipate an unprecedented chance to connect with these champions on a profoundly personal level. Audity, Plum, Boston, and Shiffrin’s collaboration promises to inspire and empower listeners, giving them a chance to learn from the best in the world of sports.
